Under the Austrian EU presidency an international conference entitled “Human biomonitoring in Europe – science and policy for healthy citizens” will take place in Vienna, Austria on 28 September 2018.
This high-level Stakeholder Conference under the auspices of the Austrian Presidency and the European Commission will highlight the benefits of human biomonitoring for policy making, present the first results of the European HBM4EU joint initiative and contribute to shaping the future of Human Biomonitoring in Europe.
Human biomonitoring is about detecting (traces of) chemicals in our bodies to improve public health. Since chemicals are widely used in food and consumer products, and the exposure to chemicals concerns all citizens, this conference will be attended by high-level representatives from all EU Member States as well as representatives of the European Commission and other key stakeholders.
