The Centre of Expertise on Population and Migration (CEPAM) cordially invites you to the launch event of the flagship report “Demographic Scenarios for the EU: Migration, Population and Education“. As the outcome of the collaboration between the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), the report focuses on the long term and provides analysis of the gradual, but consequential demographic changes taking place across the EU and wider world.
Preliminary Agenda
Who will live and work in Europe in the coming decades? How many, and with what skills? To understand the potential trajectories for the EU’s future demographics, the report examines the key factors that will influence European demographics over the coming decades.
The event will feature a presentation of the report by CEPAM lead scientist Prof. Wolfgang Lutz, followed by a panel discussion with European policymakers, journalists and academia on how to respond to the coming demographic changes. The launch event will conclude with an informal lunch, where the CEPAM researchers will be available for further discussion.
For additional details, find enclosed the draft agenda of the event.
