EU Industry Days

Podujatia

Európska komisia organizuje v dňoch 23. – 26. 2. 2021 pravidelnú v poradí štvrtú konferenciu Európske dni priemyslu 2021 – EU Industry Days 2021. Podujatie predstavuje významný prvok v aktualizácii priemyselnej politiky EÚ a poskytuje príležitosť pre zúčastnené strany a občanov z celej Európy nadviazať dialóg o budúcnosti európskeho priemyslu.

LowUP is developing an innovative heat recovery solution for industrial processes. The heat recovery system will be piloted at demo sites that include a water treatment plant in Madrid (Spain) and a Pulp & Paper mill in Setubal (Portugal). The project provides a self-cleaning heat recovery system for sludges coming out of a bio-digestion tank of the wastewater treatment plant and effluent coming out of the paper and pulp manufacturing process. The systems are expected to recover important quantity of energy from an affluent with residual energy actually not used, in order to re-inject it in the cycle and reduce the global consumption of the plants.
CATALYST is transforming data centres into multi-energy hubs at the crossroads of smart grids (electricity and heat) and data networks. This allows them to sell or buy energy or to move IT workloads from a one data centre to another one by using the cloud-based CATALYST Marketplace and consequently create new revenue streams that allow the data centres to invest in energy efficiency and in reducing their environmental footprint.
NOVICE developed and demonstrated a new business model in building renovation to better monetise energy efficiency by consolidating services and subsequent revenue streams from both energy savings and demand response. NOVICE introduced new actors (aggregators) in building energy upgrade projects and fostered their collaboration with ESCOs, financing institutions, facilities management companies, engineering consultants.
P2Endure promotes evidence-based innovative solutions for deep renovation based on prefabricated Plug-and-Play systems in combination with on-site 3D-printing and BIM. Its main objective is to prove that innovative solutions for deep renovation deliver the expected performance, both energetically and financially. This demonstration involves 14 real renovation cases with EU-wide replication potentials. P2Endure will also create a supply-chain infrastructure for large-scale uptake of prefab deep renovation solutions.
S-PARCS aims at reducing energy costs and energy consumption in industrial parks, while, at the same time, increasing renewable on-site energy production. Seven “Lighthouse Parks” from Spain, Portugal, Italy and Austria are involved in developing a cooperative project.
