Partner search SC1-BHC-27-2018: New testing and screening methods to identify endocrine disrupting chemicals. The following research group in Dublin City University are looking for partners for call SC1-BHC-27-2018.See below their expertise.
Expertise Offer from the FPC@DCU – Fraunhofer Project Centre for Embedded BioAnalytical Systems at DCU in relation to SC1-BHC-27-2018
In vitro testing using novel screening protocols for endocrine disrupting (ED) chemicals towards establishing adverse effects on health and environment falls directly within the remit of the FPC@DCU. We have a strong background in the miniaturization of such protocols for faster and reliable sensing of small molecules employing microfluidic technologies (see: https://www.dcu.ie/fpc/publications.shtml). We would be an ideal candidate for a consortium focused on this call by bringing onboard the following expertise:
a. Improved microfluidic sample preparation and detection capabilities of particular relevance to point of need (e.g., workplace) applications
b. Establishing novel ED assay candidates for regulatory use on an easy-to-use platform.
c. Provide support on testing and assessing chemicals for ED identification (in particular for remote monitoring).
d. Contribution to the development of an international strategy and guidelines for testing EDs and assessing the associated risks/hazards.
