Prvá dvojfázová výzva obsahuje témy z oblastí zameraných na biodiverzitu, biohospodárstvo a životné prostredie. Návrhy sa predkladajú v dvoch fázach, k termínu uzávierky 1. fázy ide o kratšie predbežné návrhy. Tie ktoré splnia kritéria hodnotenia následne na základe vyzvania pripravia úplné návrhy a predložia ich k dátumu uzávierky druhej fázy. Keďže zosúladenie návrhu s textom témy je nevyhnutným predpokladom do otvorenia systému toto zverejnenie umožňuje témy navnímať a skoordinovať svoje aktivity s budúcimi partnermi v konzorciách. Celkový rozpočet bude rozdelený formou grantov na realizáciu projektov.
