    Faculty of Mass Media Communication at the University of SS. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Slovakia, in connection with the globally recognised Horizon 2020 project scheme, is expressing willingness and openness to partner you and your institutions in future projects under this scheme. Our areas of interest include, but are not limited to, mass media communication, marketing communication, applied media studies, media relations and the theory of digital game studies.

    Some of the our previous international project collaborations include: - Governance and Adaptation to Innovative Modes of the Higher Education Provision Project 2013-2016. The GAIHE project analysed the impact of innovative modes of provision on the governance and management of higher education institutions; - Communication to the Prosperity of the Slovakia - Ukraine border region (COPES) 2015. The project aimed at improving the cross-border flow of information – to reduce existing barriers in cross-border cooperation between the Prešov and Košice self-governing regions in Slovakia and the Transcarpathian region in Ukraine; - Festival of Art and Independent Games LAG 2015-2019. The aim of the project is to support the opportunities in European cultural and creative industries in international events related to the support of the independent creation of artistic games; - FOTOROMA - Raising awareness of Roma cultural diversity and building an intercultural dialogue through photography 2016. The project aimed to contribute to the promotion of cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue between the majority society and representatives of disadvantaged Roma communities; - Location-based games as a contemporary, original, and innovative method of seniors’ teaching and learning 2017. The project aims to provide (re)cognition of location-based games as contemporary, original, and innovative method of seniors’ teaching and learning.

The Faculty of Mass Media Communication is the most important faculty at the university. It also holds a specific and unique position in the Slovak Republic, specifically, as the largest, and most complex media school in the country. It is considered to be the most desirable school for students of media studies and demand for graduates of this faculty ranks the school among the top ten most prestigious faculties in Slovakia. Certainly when it comes to employers seeking recent graduates as employees, it is clearly the most desirable and sought-after media faculty from which to qualify in Slovakia. FMK is also a pioneer amongst schools in Slovakia in that it started to offer education in English within two fields of study. Currently, FMK UCM cooperates with 32 universities from 15 global countries - e.g. France, Germany, USA, Central and Eastern European Countries.
