  • Description of the expertise offered
The Institute for Teacher Training has a long term experience in the field of health education, especially in education of children. Health education covers interactive activities using innovative teaching methods based on the experience pedagogy (learning by doing science activities, embodied learning, analysis of emotions etc.). Our Institute regularly organises interactive workshops for children aged 5-10 years (summer camps, creative activities – laboratory of senses, emotions etc.). Research activities are also focused on mapping current state of health of the European population (originated from the V4 countries) in relation to their eating habits, psychohygiene and moving activities. Our research deals with mapping of consumption of herbal antibiotics as well as antioxidants. Researchers also provide analyses of nutrition value of lesser known or underutilized fruit species focused on antioxidant activity and detection and localization of polyphenolic compounds within cells.
